This is an Astron RM-60M I rebuilt for a friend... One of those projects I should have stayed away from :-) It was all to pieces where others had "worked" on it. Missing meters and top cover, all pass transistors blown, pass sockets melted, wires cut and or missing everywhere, wrong transformer, bad rectifiers (and they were incorrectly wired), the list goes on and on.
I redesigned the circuit to use the transformer someone had installed... it's from a freaking computer UPS. I made a clear cover from Lexan. I blocked the meter openings, they didn't want to buy those. After a bunch of rewiring, it load tested at 13.8vdc @ 65 amps. Whew, I was glad to be done with this thing! :-) Here's a few pics...
