This is a Ten-Tec Century 22 I picked up, that needed some repairs. These are pretty rare, I've been told they only made around 700 of these in 1986. The PTO (VFO) was frozen and needed service. Once I got into it, I discovered it was missing that nightmare dial cord and it had to be re-installed. I had the optional keyer and dial marker boards, so I installed those upgrades. Some of the knobs had been over tightened and cracked them, so I dove into the boneyard for matching replacements. A little alignment and she was off and running! Here's a vid and a few pics:
I've been in Amateur Radio since 1974, and still find new and interesting things to do. I like to build, restore, and operate on the air. This blog has been running for many years, so be sure to check out "Jump to Posts on Specific Topics" in the RH column to drill down and find lots of stuff.
