This is a Turner CS-1 microphone I picked up with a Johnson transceiver. It was in pretty rough condition. Heavily stained by nicotine, oxidation had begun on the lower frame, the cord was very dirty and had failed wiring at the plug, and the internal contacts were oxidized and not making contact when the PTT was closed. I disassembled, cleaned, and painted the exterior. The mic plug, wiring, and internal contacts were repaired. Here's a few pics...
I've been in Amateur Radio since 1974, and still find new and interesting things to do. I like to build, restore, and operate on the air. This blog has been running for many years, so be sure to check out "Jump to Posts on Specific Topics" in the RH column to drill down and find lots of stuff.
