This is an old Astatic JT-30 Desk Microphone that I restored back around 1995. I have adapters wired that will connect this to the Heathkit Twins, to my Yaesu FT-901, and my Icom 756. It has a very 'bright' sound to it, and I use it often on my Heathkit 301/401 twins. This one was built sometime in the early 1960's, based on the silver border adhesive label with stamped “JT 30”.
I've been in Amateur Radio since 1974, and still find new and interesting things to do. I like to build, restore, and operate on the air. This blog has been running for many years, so be sure to check out "Jump to Posts on Specific Topics" in the RH column to drill down and find lots of stuff.
