This is a Kenwood TS-50 I repaired for a friend. It originally suffered lightning damage, and was put on a shelf for years, afterward. By the time I got it for repairs, several caps had leaked and damaged the PC board. The board was repaired (several damaged traces and 17 thru-hole jumpers that connect both sides of the board), caps changed, 1st RF amp replaced along with some isolation diodes, and she's back up and running. Here's a few pics and videos...
I've been in Amateur Radio since 1974, and still find new and interesting things to do. I like to build, restore, and operate on the air. This blog has been running for many years, so be sure to check out "Jump to Posts on Specific Topics" in the RH column to drill down and find lots of stuff.
