This is my old Tymeter shack clock. I've had this at least 40 years, maybe longer. It had always kept time well (and has a vintage look), but the motor burned out a few months ago. While poking around in my junkyard, I realized I had an old junker Galaxy station console with the same exact clock! I salvaged the clock, tested it, and transplanted it into my Tymeter bakelite housing. While I was at it, I touched up a few of the numbers with a Sharpie, and rubbed out the housing with some Flitz polishing compound. Not too shabby, and she's back in the shack, keeping time :-)
I've been in Amateur Radio since 1974, and still find new and interesting things to do. I like to build, restore, and operate on the air. This blog has been running for many years, so be sure to check out "Jump to Posts on Specific Topics" in the RH column to drill down and find lots of stuff.
