Pride DX-300 Repairs

This is a Pride DX-300 I repaired for a friend. He got it in a state of disrepair. I found circuits mis-wired, some parts bad, a bad relay that was missing the cover and had bent contacts, the parasitic choke on the plate was rebuilt with wirewound resistors, the glitch resistors in the hv circuit were blown, the low voltage supply was bad, and the input matching circuit was incorrectly wired. On a positive note, it had the Nomad Radio board upgrades to work with, and a good tube. The paper outer transformer wraps were torn and falling loose, so I repaired that and installed meter protection mods, as well. After a bit of work, it was back running and better than new.

Pride DX-300 Relay Repair

I'm restoring a Pride DX-300 amplifier that needed a 12vdc DPDT relay with a specific basing to fit the PC board mounted socket correctly.   I had lots of relays, but nothing correct....except a 24vdc relay I had. I was able to swap a few parts and mount the 12vdc coil in the 24v frame, and all was well. Electromechanical stuff can be a challenge at times. :-)
