Cannon-Ball Headphones

This is a set of Cannon-Ball Headphones, made in Springwater NY around 1945. They are common WW2 era headphones often used with crystal radio sets of the day. To me, these are very uncomfortable, but headphones have come a long way since that time :-) From google:

"Cannon-Ball Master" headphones from Springwater, NY, refer to vintage, often antique, headsets made by the C.F. Cannon Co.. These were typically high-quality, military-grade, and designed for radio reception, with "Master" and other model names like "Empire" indicating different versions.

Heil Pro-Set

This is the Heil ProSet. I purchased this at the Cary NC hamfest, in 1993. I've replaced the ear cushions once, and got them directly from Heil. This has the HC-5 "Rag Chew" dynamic element, and works great on my Yaesu FT-901.

NAF Headphones, WW2

A bit of WW2 history... Here's a few pictures of a NAF headphone assy from the Naval Aircraft Facility during WW2. Mfg by Best Mfg Co. with Shure Bro Anb-h-1 elements. They look uncomfortable. They've probably experienced a few  things, too!
