This is a Yaesu FT-101ZD I repaired for a friend on the west coast (Ca.). He purchased an extremely clean rig from someone, but it was heavily damaged in transit. The VFO knob and its coaxial reduction shaft pair was bent, several other controls were bent/damaged, knobs broken, the mode switch was broken, and several internal boards were broken. He shipped it to me and I repaired all of this stuff, recapped the rig, and gave it a full alignment. It's now back with the owner and on the air daily. Great radio! Here's a few pics...
I've been in Amateur Radio since 1974, and still find new and interesting things to do. I like to build, restore, and operate on the air. This blog has been running for many years, so be sure to check out "Jump to Posts on Specific Topics" in the RH column to drill down and find lots of stuff.
