TenTec Omni-C... these are great vintage rigs. I found this one online, and snapped it up. They almost always need a VFO rebuild (this one did). They have an odd analog vfo, but not to hard too rebuild. I stripped it down, removed all the old grease and relubricated it, cleaned the grounding tabs, etc. I also found some bad crystals, bad caps, solder problems, etc. I wired an old Sears CB dynamic mic to it, and get great reports. After a bit, she's up and running like new. Made in 'Merica!!
I've been in Amateur Radio since 1974, and still find new and interesting things to do. I like to build, restore, and operate on the air. This blog has been running for many years, so be sure to check out "Jump to Posts on Specific Topics" in the RH column to drill down and find lots of stuff.
