This is a Tait T500 UHF radio I picked up in the remains of some estate sale stuff. These are programmable from about 430mhz to around 475mhz.
Upon initial checkout, it was found as a working radio with ctcss encode, and had 2 channels. These use a goofy diode matric for programming frequencies, and not very intuitive. I had to scribble a bit to work out the programming for 446.0 simplex and a repeater. To select the matrix, one has to solder bridges across pads on the matrix board.
The ctcss setting is analog, literally adjustable with potentiometers. Sheesh...
I played with it a bit and gave it to a new ham.
