This is a beautiful Ten-Tec Omni VI I picked up via an estate sale. Despite being beautiful, it was DOA. No digital display, nothing. I found 2 voltage regulators bad, replaced them, and it came to life.
The recieve audio was very distorted. I found an issue in a 9mhz filter with a bad crystal. I had a parts donor rig, replaced the filter, and had great recieve audio.
Next, there was no RF output. Both driver transistors had been replaced and were bad. I replaced them with 2SC1969, and now have full power out.
