Here's a $2800 IC-756 radio with a bad display. Icom recognized that it was an issue. Rather than support it, they recommend to BUY A NEW RIG from them to replace it. WTF??? There's lots of these out there, stuck with this problem. As much as I like this rig, i'll never spend another penny with Icom.

Thank You for that. I was thinking of getting an ICOM but now I will put that idea aside. I will stick with Kenwood and Elecraft. They both have been good to me over the years.
ReplyDeleteI have several Icom radios, and love them. However, my experience has been pretty much the same every time I've needed support from them. I literally had to re-engineer a display system to keep the 756 I paid over $2000 for, in operation. I'll never buy another new Icom radio, for sure.
